Following the cyberattack on Change Healthcare this February, MedBen has been processing in a timely manner provider claims payments that Change Healthcare would have otherwise handled. Due to the severity of the attack, the company’s operational systems have required an extended restoration period… so much so, that we’re only now seeing some of their services online again.
Change Healthcare has notified MedBen of several notable implementations in the coming days and weeks (please note these are estimates and are subject to change):
Week of June 17, 2024
Change Healthcare’s Application Programming Interface (API) will be restored, giving MedBen Access the ability to display EOBs that were previously mailed.
July 27 – August 9, 2024
Change Healthcare’s print and mail facility will be operational again. Currently, a third party vendor is handling these services.
August 2024
Change Healthcare will again be able to process dental claims.
As for other affected services, Change Healthcare has provided no estimated implementation dates at this time. These include various provider-related processes. Until they are functional again, MedBen or an appropriate outside vendor will continue to manage them.
