MedBen University (MBU) kicked off its 20th season with the annual Broker Roundtable. Like last year, this event was held virtually, with over 100 in attendance from five states.
Topics for the roundtable included cost and utilization trends by industry and product, direct-to-employer contracting (DTE)/reference-based pricing (RBP), MedBen Rx’s new Comparative Effectiveness program, and regulatory updates.
Some of the highlights included:
- MedBen clients’ five-year annual claim cost trend averaged 2.3%.
- DTE & RBP block spent an average of 23.5% less than those who used a traditional PPO plan.
- MedBen WellLiving clients spent on average 8.8% less than those who didn’t utilize WellLiving.
- MedBen Rx clients spent an average of 21.6% less compared to other PBMs.
The next MBU event will be our Virtual Municipality Roundtable, April 15, 9:00-11:00 a.m. EDT. If you’re a city, county or local government entity and are interested in attending, contact Marketing Project Coordinator Jessica Schmidt at jschmidt@medben.com.
