For the 22nd consecutive year, MedBen was pleased to take part in the Families Helping Families program. Our employees once again joined together to raise funds and purchase presents, ensuring that the less privileged children of Licking County (Ohio) were able to share in the giving spirit of the holiday season.
Spearheaded by Licking County Job and Family Services (LCJFS), Families Helping Families provides gifts anonymously to hundreds of area children. Local businesses, churches, schools, clubs, families, and other groups all contribute to the program.
This year, MedBen employees “adopted” 14 children ranging in age from one year to 11 years old, from lists provided through LCJFS as well as House of New Hope, which helps foster children. MedBen employees helped raised funds for the cause by holding a “Christmas Selfie Museum” featuring rooms inspired by classic Christmas movies (see photos; click to enlarge).
Families Helping Families is among the many charities and non-profit organizations MedBen has partnered with over the years. We’ve also been honored to support United Way, Food Pantry Network, Licking County Community Health Clinic, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and the Midland Theatre, to name just a few.
Individuals and groups who are interested in contributing to a future Families Helping Families drive are encouraged to contact LCJFS at 740-670-8736.
