The MedBen Compliance team has updated its High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)/Health Savings Account (HSA) summary to include 2024 IRS guidelines.
In 2024, the HDHP minimum required deductible is $1,600 for self-only coverage ($3,200 for family coverage), while the limit on HDHP out-of-pocket expenses will increase to $8,050 for self-only coverage ($16,100 for family coverage).
If your HDHP is tied to an HSA, the annual HSA contribution limit in 2024 will increase to $4,150 for self-only coverage ($8,300 for family coverage).
Other than these cost-of-living adjustments, the HDHP/HSA guidelines remain unchanged from 2024. But if you have questions regarding any aspect of the guidelines, please contact Director of Compliance Erin Kelly.
