At a recognition event on October 6. MedBen honored employees who are celebrating benchmark anniversaries with the company in 2023. We congratulate all this year’s celebrants and thank you for everything you do for our clients!
Three employees are observing 30 or more years with us, including one who, in marking 35 years, is our longest-serving team member – Anita Fouch, Manager of Accounting Daily Operations.
“It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that I have been with MedBen for 35 years,” Fouch said after the event. “The years have passed by so quickly, but I think that’s a sign of it just being a good fit. Not only a good fit with MedBen, but with the work I do here.”
Fouch added that while enjoying every job she’s held during her MedBen career and learning from each opportunity, her current position is her favorite: “The Accounting Department is truly where I feel my knowledge and experience fits best.” She also thanked MedBen, her coworkers and friends for 35 great years.
Bobbie Painter, Director of Claims, reflected on changes she’s seen in her 30 years with MedBen: “When I started here, we had about 30 self-funded clients, now we have hundreds. And we’ve experienced Clinton Health Care Reform, HIPAA, Obamacare, COVID-19, and the No Surprises Act, and we’ve successfully met each challenge. To say that it’s never dull working in benefits management is a great understatement!”
Painter added she appreciates MedBen’s integrity and honesty – “not only with clients, but also with its employees.”
Also celebrating 30 years with MedBen is Chuck Jindra, Senior Marketing Specialist. “Back in 1993, the Internet was in its infancy and my most sophisticated office tool was a hand-held scanner,” he noted. “In the years since, the ways that we share information and promote our services have greatly expanded, but our mission of being the benefits partner that employers prefer stays the same.”
As for what he likes best about MedBen, Jindra said, “The freedom I have in creating materials… and I get to work with some really smart people.”
